I often have trouble staying on one thing too long and I am easily distracted. For instance, I'll be in the middle of something and see like an email pop up and go do that for a bit, before coming back to the point at hand. Is this a sign of ADHD? I never really got in trouble as a kid or as an adult. I am impulsive in that I often tend to say yes to things before thinking them through. Should I add that to the list of things to talk to a doctor about?
Is there a test to see if someone has adult ADHD?
(sorry for replying with a question but i was just wondering)
I'm not 100% sure I can post a link to another site, but its worth a try. This is what I have found, you can take this quick screening test to see if you may have ADHD

Hi Archeon, frankly speaking I do not think that it’s a sign of ADHD. I think so as this can happen because of other reasons also like it may be your irritation which has developed in the recent past or it could have been due to some other environmental facts. I will also advise you to consult with your doctor although for availing any risk factor.
ADHD is a problem with inattentiveness, over-activity or a combination of the two. If I am not mistaken, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder falls into three groups, which are, inattentiveness, hyperactivity, and impulsiveness. The signs and symptoms are the following:
1) Fails to pay close attention to details or makes careless mistakes in schoolwork, work, or other activities.
2) Has difficulty sustaining attention in tasks or play activities.
3) Does not seem to listen when spoken to directly.
4) Does not follow through on instructions and fails to finish school work
and household chores.
5) Has difficulty organizing tasks and activities.
6) Avoids, dislikes, or is reluctant to engage in tasks that require sustained
mental effort (such as schoolwork or homework).
7) Loses things necessary for tasks or activities (toys, keys, school
assignments, pencils, or books).
8) Is easily distracted by extraneous stimuli.
9) Is often forgetful in daily activity
No you do not have ADHD, it's called boredom. People are far too quick to jump to the ADHD conclusion now when it is really very complex with several symptoms. I went to see if I had it as I seemed to exhibit all of the symptoms. As it turned out I was suffering from severe stress. The symptoms of ADHD are very similar to stress, lack of concentration etc. The reason they were able to tell that it was stress and not ADHD was because I also had mild OCD; this means you are trying to exibit some sort of control over your life whereas with ADHD things in your life are all over the place but you are not aware of that and, as a result, do not try to exhibit any control over it.
