Depression can contribute to commitment issues in relationships due to emotional challenges like fear of intimacy, emotional numbness, and low self-esteem.

In what other ways do you think it causes commitment issues?

I won't advise anybody depressed to be in a relationship but had it been they are in it already, I will suggest a stop that leads to emotions. They should get better before anything else.
Depression can cause lots of things in a relationship and it's never good.

No depression should not be a reason to stop a relationship. Even depressed people deserves to feel loved and wanted.

It can also make someone pull away when things start getting serious, not because they don’t care, but because they feel overwhelmed or not good enough. Depression can drain energy too, so maintaining a relationship starts to feel like a lot of pressure.
