Loss of a source of livelihood is also a leading cause of depression. Such individual starts thinking of how to survive, especially if they have a family depending on them.

They start to worry about a lot, which can cause anxiety and thus depression.
Knowing the triggers of depression can help its management.
 
I have to admit that not knowing where your next meal is going to come from can cause depression. I have been there before so I understand how it can happen so.
 
Losing a job can make someone feel depressed but if the person stays for too long without getting another job, that's when the depression becomes too critical.

Yes we all have financial responsibilities. If we don’t see how we can cater for them, the feeling can slowly creep in.
