Raising children while dealing with depression

This is a tough situation, but overcoming it is not impossible. You cannot give what you do not have, so you need to take care of yourself first. If your children are able to discern your depression, they might grow up thinking that is how life is.
You might employ a nanny for the meantime, at least until you feel better.
 
It's never easy to handle depression while you ha e kids. I have a neighbour that suffered from emotional blackmail for the husband, making the man to leave them without caring for them again. This woman fall apart coupled with depression on how to train the children.

We the neighbours helped out in making sure she take her meds and we always help the kids to do things without bothering their mom. Thanks to God that she's alive and bubbling with her kids.
 
Depression can come anytime both while single or married with kids. I don't want my kids to suffer for what they didn't do.
 
An average parent in my country is suffering from depression but you don't see them ranting about it every here and there. They man up and do their jobs as parents. It's what being a man is all about.

Well the majority of people that have depression do not talk about it at all. That is why it eventually turns into something more serious for them. Those that talk about it are doing better.
